i could love you – Poem

i could love you
i could curl up
wrap myself in
the warmth of your smile
the strength in your arms
your manliness, sexiness
supreme essence of masculinity
protectively surrounding me
and
i know in
you I can rest,
easily
rest in loving you

i could love you

i could really

love you

i could stand behind you with
an ease of being that defies
the illogical air of submission.
walls
would come tumbling
down
guards at my heart’s gates
would become
nonexistent and
transparency
would be
inevitable
willingly I’d stand naked
in loving you

i could love you
from your crown chakra
to your toes         yes

i could love you

i could really

love you

i could bathe in loving you
like the sun’s rays
nourish
the Earth
sustaining
life
loving you
would be my life
force

i would be your moon
your
constant companion never
leaving
your side
basking
in your glow and
feeding
off your warmth

i could love you
i could really
love you
If only you’d let me.
